Aromatherapy playdough recipe thats great for all the senses

Aromatherapy Playdough Recipe

Today we made Aromatherapy Playdough with the kids.

They had a ball (they always love making playdough, despite the arguments about who stirs and adds what…..lol)

I’m excited to show you how easy it is to make.

We add some essential oils for smell and you can add food dye for colour and glitter for texture.

Your aromatherapy playdough will catch the eye of your kids instantly.

It’s a great activity that works with their senses.

Here’s the recipe:

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup fine salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Natural food dye (Tumeric makes a great yellow, beetroot juice purple or natural store-bought colours)
  • 2 cups of water

Stir together well and then place on low heat. Stir consistently until forms into a ball. Place on parchment paper to cool. Then add the essential oils and knead through.

It’s that easy!

Enjoy!
