DIY Carpet Freshener

This is the best DIY Carpet Freshener which is not only simple to make, it leaves your carpets smelling fresh and clean again. Free from harsh chemicals this recipe is a handy one to have prepared waiting in the cupboard.

Store bought options are often in aerosols (which come with their own hazards) but we also have to contain the toxic chemicals that lurk within. The product may carry a fragrance, maybe vanilla, or lemon or lavender all of which as phthalates (artificial fragrance) that is extremely detrimental to our hormones, immune system and respiratory system.  This is definitely not something that I want my kids inhaling after a carpet freshen up.

So I choose natural. Using simple household ingredients to freshen the carpets the easy, non toxic way.
